Ben, these are great inspiration. I like the one you mention about think like a kid. To get inspiried it is important that you think in different ways as you think normally. Thinking like a kid is one good way of doing so, since ine can always relate to how he used to think then.

These are so true Ben..can't argue more on this one..^^..but I personally love #4 Think like a Kid..^^..but I'm not saying that you should act like one...what I mean is you just have to see things in a child's perspective...simple and uncomplicated. ^^

Dawud - Michigan is pretty cold and unpleasant in the winter, but you got nothing on Montreal. Not that I'm bragging. *laugh*

California is beautiful...I've never been to Hawaii but it's on the old to-do list.

Ben, I live in Michigan. Our weather isn't that much different than yours in Montreal. Maybe a little shorter winter. I definitely ask myself the same question all the time. I miss California. Hawaii would be fine but since my business is 100% portable, I could think of some other places I'd rather be - summers high in Montana's mountains - winters in the Carribean.

Dawud - that sounds very nice, but where I live you'd be spending your time wiping snow, hail, sleet or rain out of your eyes for about 8 months out of the year.

One thing I try to do every single day is look up at the sky for a few minutes. Whether I watch a sunrise or sunset, stare at the clouds or watch birds high up in a tree, it always seems to give me perspective.

Watching funny videos works for me. The only problem is that it's not accessible anytime. I was thinking of pictures but it's not as expressive as the ones in a video.

Todd -- Of course kids aren't always terribly inspirational, there's that whole crying and whining thing, but we can take what we need selectively from them in terms of their emotions + spirit to get inspired! *smile*

Dave -- Let me know if jumping up and down works for you! I can just see a bunch of inspirational YouTube videos cropping up of people getting motivated by shouting and jumping...could be a movement! *grin*

I like the idea of jumping up and down and yelling Yes!. It brings back some old memories about winning or even anything which made me say it. There's nothing more mood changing than remembering how it was when we won somthing.

It's simple. I take a pause and do something different from what I have been doing. Like have a walk. Try going to the top of Mont Royal by foot.

Another good way is meeting people with another mindset. Like seeing creative, artistic people. They always seem to take another new approach at things

I love the puddle analogy.

We have a 2 1/2 year old as well. When we go out for family trips, like to the Zoo, we basically follow his lead. He has an unerring instinct for the most interesting and fun things to do.

Also, jumping up and down and shouting is cool and everything, but for a REAL release, put on "Shake Your Sillies Out" by Raffi and dance to that. Preferably with your kid, or people might talk... ;)

I've had the "Free Hugs" vid on my iriver for a few months now since finding it through dig. Great to keep on you and watch when you need that lift. Reminds you there is alot of good people out there.Definately a great pick up.
