Nice write-up, Ben. I think that was our second trip to the buffet (or maybe 3rd?).

Great food, great people (yeah, I agree, maybe not yawning guy), and great info.

Definitely one of the best conferences I've ever been to.

You are absolutely right Ben. NOTHING replaces face-to-face time. High tech is good; high touch is GREAT!
  • Michael Wagner · 2 years ago
Face to face is hard to improve on.

At the end of the day I don't worry about our technology skills failing, I worry about our people skills failing.

It was great to meet you Ben and to learn from you...face to face.

    Keep creating,
    Mike

I'm just waiting to hear about that "most embarrassing moment," Ben. :)

It was great to be there and meet you Ben. I really loved your new startup idea for Standout Jobs and hope to keep encouraging you as you make that dream a reality!

Hi Ben - It was so great to meet you! And you're so right about being in person. What a difference it makes. Can't wait til next year!
  • Chris Brown · 2 years ago
    Ben:
I agree with you that it really needed more "free" time to network and connect. Next year!

Looks and sounds like it was great! Maybe next year? ;)

Ben! Didn't my wife take the picture that you have on your site now? I promise I won't tell her if you change it. :-)

I'm SO glad you helped us, and (better still) presented and participated. You bring so much to the table, my friend - it wouldn't have been the same without you. I also enjoyed our many discussions about business and life over those two days.

So, pending fathter (do keep us posted), all the best and keep the faith!

I'll definitely be looking for that powerpoint. It was great to meet you and chat some at our table.

Hey Ben. And, again, Happy Birtday from Monday. Don't worry, I won't share any of the other personal stuff I learned about you at SOBCon.

Meeting you, talking business and hanging out around an excellent Indian meal was a blast. Now I know who the Instigator is...except that Adam and I had to prod to you go to dinner.

Thanks for some great talks and for sharing your knowledge of podcasting.

And I'm with Phil..."High tech is good; high touch is GREAT!" HEY PHIL, CAN I USE THAT?

Hey Ben- Thanks for the compliment as well as the link/s! Had a great time as well, and I look forward to reading your blog!

Hey Ben, was really cool meeting you at SOBCon! Your podcast presentation was really well-done and informative, liked it a lot, looking foward to hearing more about standoutjobs man!

hey why is it that on a lot of the pics you have a beer in your hand? lol (Heineken that is!)
  • Ben Yoskovitz · 2 years ago
    Jonathan,

Let's not get into too much of a discussion on the virtues of US beers...*chuckle*

And well, I was away from home, perfect time to enjoy some Heineken, although I might have enjoyed them a bit more than most of the other people! *laugh*

Glad you liked the presentation - now to get it online...

Ben, it was great to finally meet you in person! Funny how SOBCon is still going on, right here in the comment boxes of all the attendees, isn't it? Pretty great!
  • Robert Hruzek · 2 years ago
Oh, and don't worry 'bout the photos. Many of the ones that show me highlight my backside, too. Alas!
  • Michael Wagner · 2 years ago
Ben, what a treat to be part of such a gathering.

It was good to hear you talk about your vision for the new business! Love the energy you have for it.

    Keep creating,
    Mike

Sorry for not replying to some comments earlier from Mike and Chris in particular, they were caught in my spam filter for some reason...

Dawud - one of your comments was caught too, very strange.

Was a great time. I'm STILL thinking about it and processing it...
